I recently returned from a two-week vacation to visit family in Tennessee. I enjoy visiting Tennessee because the landscape is quite different from Florida – the hills and trees remind me of Connecticut. I took a lot of pictures while I was there but you already knew that! I want to share some with you from two places: my favorite scenic overlook and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
My favorite scenic overlook is off of South Berrys Chapel Road in Franklin.
The Natchez Trace is a historic, 444-mile scenic parkway that runs from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee. It crosses some of the most beautiful terrain in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. The trace was created and used for centuries by Native Americans and was later used by early European and American explorers, traders, and emigrants in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
The first three pictures were taken at Falls Hollow.
The next three were taken at Jackson Falls.
The last two were taken along the way.
